Arriving in New Zealand in 2017 along with his wife and their three children, Yves-Louis has been leveraging his experience in commerce and marketing at the Alliance since 2022. A passionate rugby fan and cinema enthusiast, he enjoys sharing his interests and exploring the vibrant cultural scene of Auckland.

Alwena is an international administrative volunteer with a Master's degree from a French business school. After living in the United States, she continues her professional journey in Auckland, bringing her expertise in communication. Passionate about travel and eager to explore new cultures, she is excited to discover all that New Zealand has to offer.

Originally from Nantes, she arrived in New Zealand in November 2022. Two years later, she still has no desire to leave. Passionate about art, nature, and music, she also teaches Vinyasa Yoga in her spare time. She worked with Alliance Française in Melbourne in 2024 and is now glad to be part of Auckland's team.

Originally from the north of France, she has been living in New Zealand for the past year and is enjoying discovering everything the country has to offer. Originally from north of France, Ambre has lived in Auckland for three years. She holds the DAEFLE and loves teaching. She enjoys sharing her favourite camping spots, video games, football stories and French history and pop culture. With experience as an au pair and support worker, she's always ready to help and learn.
From Brittany, Anne-Sophie holds a Master's degree in FLE. She's passionate about travel, culture, art, and sports. After falling for New Zealand, she now teaches at Alliance Française Auckland, eager to share her culture and love of the French language.
Having always wanted to be a teacher, she thrives in this profession by sharing her experience — but most importantly, by learning from her students' own experiences.
Originally from Quebec, Caroline is passionate about learning and helping others. She strongly believes in fun and engaging teaching. She loves to travel and share enriching cultural exchanges. Her goal is to inspire and guide her students with enthusiasm.
Originally from the Basque Country, she taught English in primary school before completing her Master MEEF (Master's in Teaching, Education and Training). She loves working with children and enjoys playing Basque pelota and knitting.
Originally from Paris, she has lived in Auckland for over 30 years. A graduate of La Sorbonne Nouvelle, she holds a DEA and a secondary education diploma. With years of experience teaching French to all ages — from preschool to adults — she is dedicated to helping every student succeed.
Eric joined Alliance Française after teaching sciences in les Hauts-de-France where he is originally from. He also lived several years in South Asia, and is passionate about sports and French culture.
Holder of a dual degree in Political Sciences – International Tourism Economics and a Master's in FLE, Ilona brings expertise combining administrative management and pedagogy. With experience in France, Norway, French Polynesia, and New Zealand, she's passionate about teaching and knowledge sharing!
A native speaker with a FLE Master's in teaching French, Jenna is deeply passionate about languages and cultures. She creates dynamic, personalised learning environments that enhance linguistic skills effectively.
Originally from Belgium, she has worked as a translator, flight attendant and French teacher in Belgium and Italy. After flying across the
globe, from Paris to São Paulo and beyond, she has now settled in New Zealand for her next adventure. She’s passionate about languages and
speaks French, Dutch, Italian, English, and German, and is currently learning Brazilian Portuguese.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys cycling around Auckland, swimming, and growing plants on her balcony, alongside her pet “Panda.” Come
say “bonjour” and guess what animal he is (hint: not a mammal!).
Originally from Normandy, she holds the DAEFLE. She has taught FLE in France and in Boston (USA) at an English–French bilingual school. Naturally enthusiastic and positive, she believes students learn best through empathy, kindness, and fun, and loves sharing her passion for art, music, and culture.
Originally from Chamonix, she is passionate about sports and nature. Holding a Master's degree in FLE, she worked at the Alliance Française of Nepal before coming to New Zealand to combine her teaching career with her love of outdoor activities.
Originally from New Caledonia, he holds a Master's degree in FLE and taught French across the Pacific before settling in Auckland in 2019. He is now promoting French/English bilingual education while teaching at Alliance Française Auckland.
From Paris, she has been living in New Zealand for two years, working as a French assistant in four schools. Passionate about teaching, art, and languages, she loves creating fun, creative activities. When she's not teaching, you'll likely find her drawing or at an anime convention.
A primary school teacher from Paris, Paul leads the "A Day at School" programme on Wednesdays and Thursdays and teaches French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses for adults.
After teaching in Chile for 5 years, Steffy came back to Auckland to continue her adventure in the AF network. She holds a Master's degree in FLE. In class, she enjoys using real-life documents and games. When not at work, she is by the ocean with her headphones or baking.
